Kelly came to both East Asian Medicine and Pilates while recovering from her own orthopedic injuries.
After graduating with distinction from the University of Virginia, Kelly studied Pilates and body mechanics with teacher and mentor Carla Shifflett, simultaneously completing her STOTT PILATES certification with Kimber McQueen in Richmond, VA.
In 2009, ready for a deeper understanding of human physiology, health, and healing, Kelly began her study of classical Chinese Medicine at the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon. She was drawn to the sophistication and organic lens in which East Asian Medicine views the human body and spirit.
Kelly finished her studies and training at the Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College in Berkeley, CA, where she interned at UC Berkeley's Simpson Center working with the University's college athletes.
Kelly holds a Masters of Science of Oriental Medicine (MSOM), and is a Licensed Acupuncturist in the State of California (L.Ac.), as well as a nationally licensed Diplomate of Oriental Medicine (Dipl.O.M.).
She currently sees Pilates and acupuncture / herbal medicine clients in private practice in Orinda, CA, most commonly working with women’s health issues, anxiety, depression, digestive health, autoimmunity, fertility, and orthopedic pain / injury recovery and prevention.
